In our post last month we showed pictures of the website we redesigned for the Animal Emergency Center of Central Oregon.  We just finished the web video we produced for them to give people a behind the scenes look at their facility, staff and specialized equipment.  For their video we filmed the clinic during a typical day so you can see their doctors in action. Animal Emergency Center Website Refresh

The Animal Emergency Center from Bend, Oregon already had a website, but it was in need of a little work.  The website was about 5 years old and some of the information was outdated so it was time to do some updating. With the original website design, they would have needed to know how to edit the HTML files to make updates.  To make sure this didn’t happen again, part of our redesign included a design that allows them to go in and make updates on their own if they want. Here are some before and after screenshots of their website:                   A couple other things we added to the website during the redesign were a contact form so it is easy for people to contact the clinic and a custom made Google map with on-page driving directions on how to get to the clinic. Coming soon will be the new web video we’re producing for them.  The video will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the clinic. Once we’re done we’ll let you know so you can see how it turned out. We produced this video for the Downtown Bend Business Association to show the benefits of owning/operating a business in Downtown Bend Oregon.  The Downtown Bend Business Association (DBBA) is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1982 to help improve economic vitality by enhancing the experience, image and lifestyle of Downtown Bend.  We walked all over downtown with Chuck Arnold, Executive Director of DBBA, to visit with local business owners and got their perspectives on why they love running their business downtown. Which is a more cost effective form of advertising? With the technology we have today, TV commercials are becoming less effective than they were.  The abundance of Tivos and DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) have made it all too easy for viewers to simply skip over the commercials that businesses have invested their hard earned dollars on.  Plus, more and more people are sitting in front of their TVs using tablets, smartphones and laptops while they’re watching.  Commercials come on and the attention simply goes to a different screen so viewers aren’t seeing the commercials even if they aren’t skipping them. Your website, on the other hand, is there 24 hours a day. Web videos are online 24 hours a day. Adding a web video to your website grabs your visitors attention and gives them one more reason to spend more time on your site.  A web video is a way to give people more information than words and pictures can.  Not to say that you shouldn’t have great pictures and content, but you should have video as well. Here’s a great example. We made a web video for a business called Bouncing Off The Wall.  It is an amazing place for kids (and adults too) to run, jump and play in their indoor fun center full of inflatable bounce houses, slides and obstacle course.
