Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about website design
Here is a list of frequently asked questions about website design that we’ve heard over the years. If you have a question that’s not listed below, give us a call. We’re glad to answer any questions you have.
How much does a website cost?
The total price of a website varies from site to site. No two sites are exactly the same. Some websites will have a lot of pages of content, some may only need a couple. Adding things like E-commerce, photo galleries, and web videos will add to the cost of a website. Every website we build is custom tailored to your business. We like to sit down with every client to go over what their particular website needs, or doesn’t need, so that we can come up with an accurate price estimate. Contact us today for your free consultation.
How long does it take to build a website?
This is another difficult question to answer. It really depends upon the scope of the project. If you’re having an E-commerce website built that also includes a blog, photo galleries, and testimonials it will take a lot longer than a simple 1 page website. Sometimes it takes a little longer to really fine-tune the site to your liking. Fonts, colors, layout, etc. Part of the the time it takes to build a website depends on you too. To build a website there are things we will need from you. Pictures, contact info, page content, and your input on design changes. The quicker we get the information we need, the quicker we’ll be able to complete your website.
How long do changes take to complete?
We take pride in taking care of our clients. We guarantee change requests will be made in no longer than 48 hours. This guarantee applies to basic changes like updating your contact information, updating store hours, adding/changing pictures, and things like that. If you decide to completely overhaul and redesign the website it is going to take a little longer than that. You can’t afford to have incorrect or out-of-date information online, so we make your changes fast to keep you and your clients happy!
If I have questions how quickly do you respond?
As quickly as possible. We respond to questions within 24 hours, but typically it is much less than that. Again, we take pride in taking care of our clients. One of the main reasons we began Bend Pro Web Design was because we had trouble getting in touch with a developer when we needed help and heard the same thing from many other business owners. We get a lot calls from people who need help with their websites saying “the guy that built it won’t call me back” or “I can never get a hold of the people that built my website” or “once he got my money I never heard from him again.” We hate calls like that. Developers like that give us all a bad name. Contact us anytime you have a question. We’re here to help you when you need us.
Once my website is done will you be there if I need help?
Of course. You are always welcome to contact us if you ever have any questions about how to use your website or concerns/issues you may have. After your website is complete, we will go over it all with you. We also put together a custom user’s guide for your website as a reference for you. It will include step-by-step guides for different parts of the website and all of the information for accounts associated with the website. Website addresses, login information, and how to get hold of us if you’d like to. Another big thing we include with every website we design is 3 months of free basic updates/changes after your new website goes live in case you decide something isn’t quite right and needs a little tweaking.
Can I make changes to the website myself?
If you’d like to, of course. Most business owners want to have control over the content of their websites and need to make changes from time to time. We use WordPress as the base for most websites in these cases. Wordpress allows our clients to log in from anywhere they have internet and make changes/updates to their website on their own. Even from their smartphones. We can also build websites for clients using many other types of online website builders like Squarespace, Webydo and Wix if you’re interested in using them but don’t want to build the whole website.
