Is WordPress right for you?

There are many different ways to build a website. One extremely popular way is with WordPress.  Wordpress offers people an easy way to quickly put together a website through 1000’s of available themes. There are many free themes that you can use, or just as many premium WordPress themes that can offer a lot more flexibility and features. WordPress allows users to login from any computer to make updates, changes and add new content. We love using WordPress at Bend Pro Web Design. It’s great for our clients who want to be able to edit and make changes to their websites on their time. With so many people using WordPress, you probably don’t want your website to look like someone else’s. No worries, we’ve got you covered. We know how to go beyond the theme and can modify the code to make it fit your style. We use the latest in CSS and PHP to make sure your website is unique. Maybe you don’t like the logo position. Maybe the font is too big or small. Maybe you want features that the template doesn’t offer.  We know how to integrate all sorts of killer features that will make your website stand out and really show off your business. For those of you that do want more control over your website, WordPress is a great solution. We build it, you maintain it. Once your new WordPress website is complete, we’ll put together a personalized “Users Guide” for you that explains the basics of how you maintain your website. The guide will cover how to edit/create pages, how to use “widgets” and “plugins” and more....
Website design on your own?

Website design on your own?

With all of the ways for a business owner to make their own website today it’s hard to believe everyone doesn’t have one.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I still think it’s a better idea to let someone who has experience build your website, but it’s just not in every business budget to go that route.   That being said, take a look around and check out other business websites. Design What do you like, or dislike, about the website designs? You want your website to reflect your business but also be appealing to your visitors.  Typically, you’ll start from a template for your website online.  If you do start from a template, make sure you adapt it with your style. SEO Another thing that is often overlooked is SEO.  Search Engine Optimization.  You’re all done.  The website is beautiful. Can people find it?  This is one place where a professional is going to be a big advantage for your business.  The whole point of the website is to gain you business.  Properly developing the website so that is easy for your potential clients to find you is key. These are just a few things to consider when deciding whether or not you want to tackle designing your own website.  If you do decide to do it yourself, send us a link, we’d love to check it...

The Web Design Process – STEP ONE

The Web Design Process – STEP ONE

The first thing we’ll do is figure out how involved you’d like to be in the process of making your website.  Some folks have a strong vision of what they’d like, while others would prefer for us to “do our thing”.  If you’re tech-savvy, we can build your website and then you would maintain it, or you can just let us know of changes you’d like from time to time, and we’re happy to take care of those for you. We’ll find out if you have an effective domain name (website address) and e-mail addresses, as well as ask you questions about your plan for social media marketing (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) You might not know what you want out of your website until we start asking questions, and that’s okay.  We’ll guide you through this process as much as you need us to. Take the first step today and give us a call for your free initial consultation. Brian Bend Pro Web Design www.bendproweb.com (541)...
